So, what else can I share with you in this article that will encourage you to read more than the first paragraph? If you work in a SEO company India, then you already know that ingredients for a SEO campaign have changed over the years. Here are some advanced, uncommon and effective search engine optimization methods for you. Dive in and I promise you that you will learn a few new things.
Link Building, Smarter Way:
One of the most common ways of building backlinks is to employ tools to detect the third party sites that link to your competitor websites and beg them for backlinks. Pretty humiliating technique, right? Your competitors are already getting link from those sites and thus, they have every reason to reject your plea.
SEO executives always go after the sites ranking on SERP one or two, but have you ever approached the sites ranking at page 10? The admin of those sites will be more eager for a backlink deal and the links will be natural, not purchased. They need updated content and thus, if you mail them that you post valuable and updated information in your site, they will happily embed your web page links their site. Besides, if your linking parters have 4 or less PageRank, then they will accept your proposal faster, because high PageRank sites are generally owned by a company while a lesser PageRank site is generally managed by an individual. Now that is what I call an advanced link building technique.
Animated Infographics can Work like Magic:
Infographics are not out of fashion. They still work, but not as popular as they used to be a couple of years ago. Earlier, even if you post an ugly infographic, hundreds of people would have shared it. Now, you have to make sure that the data provided in the infographic is valid and must look beautiful as well. The question is, how can you make an infographic eye catching? Everyone use colours and images. There is nothing new. In order to make it interesting, you need to create animated infographic. Suppose you are explaining people how factories cause pollution. Would not it be nice if the chimneys in the image emanate animated smoke?
Use AdWords for Meta Tag Optimization:
Since you work in a leading SEO company India, you must know that there are two factors that determine how much traffic you get from search engines. The first factor is your rank on SERPs and second is click through rate (CTR). Do you know how you can boost CTR? By testing the title and description tags. Correct answer, but it is a tiresome work, Won’t you be glad if there is a way to know what works the best so that you don’t need to test the tags several times? Luckily there is a way to know what works best without much testing. Google AdWords place the highest CTR PPC ads on top of a page. Looking at those ads you can understand what type of text works the best and use similar lines in your Meta tags to increase click through rate.
Long, Information Rich Articles:
You must have noticed that Google’s search engine result pages now display content excerpts with the links. Thanks to the in-depth articles algorithm update, now you see this change on the SERPs. So, the question is what can you do to get your articles listed in the “in-depth articles” section?
Try to write informative articles containing not less than 1500-2000 words.
Choose a broad topic for your article. Make sure that the subject is related to your business.
Make sure that your code follows the schema.org rules.
Once you start posting 1500-2000 words long articles, wait for a month to inspect whether traffic increased or not. If you don’t see any increase in traffic, then it means that your content is not “valuable” enough. Try to increase word count and watch for another month. It is a trial and error process. Soon, your articles will get listed in the “in-depth articles” section.
Relevancy is Everything:
Google can easily spot the websites that are involved in unnatural link building process. In order to outsmart Google, some website administrators started posting guest posts recently. They write on the subjects that are related to their business and think that Google will value the backlinks. What they fail to realize is that when Google scan the sites that link with you, it not only checks the articles you have posted, but the overall theme of the site. So, if you collect a link from a web development blog for an article on content writing, the search engine giant won’t give it much value. However, if you post an article on content writing in a content writing blog, that link becomes more valuable.
More Authors Mean More Traffic:
Google generally shows one author image per website, but if you have multiple authors, then you can actually have multiple author images next to your website link on search engine result pages. Not only having multiple authors can increase CTR, but social share increases as well and as you know every +1 is helpful for SEO. You should also encourage your authors to share their articles via their personal social media profiles.
Broken Links in Wikipedia can Open New Possibilities:
Wikipedia articles link to hundreds of inner pages for reference. If Wikipedia is linking to a page, then there is a huge possibility that hundreds of other sites are linking to that page as well. If some of those pages are deleted over time, then Wikipedia shows “broken link” on the page. Now, if you want to find all the broken links on Wikipedia, you can easily do so by searching site:wikipedia.org keyword “dead link” in Google. In the place of keywords, write the keyword related to your business. Google will show you the pages that contain information related to your business and feature dead links. Place the link on the archive.org to see the older version of the page. If the URL of the dead link points to a page that is relevant for your business, then you can write a post on the same subject in your site and inform the third party sites, that you have fresh content on the same subject and they will link back to your new post. After that, go to Wikipedia article containing the dead link and click on the “edit” button. Replace the dead link with your new article and your job is done.
